Delegation of Top International Companies visited YEPSTC

    At the invitation of the Yancheng Environmental Protection Science and Technology City(YEPSTC), a delegation of senior headquarter managers and China directors from top international companies including the Boeing Company, the 3M Company, the BASF Group, the A. O. Smith Corporation, the Donaldson Filters, the MSP Corporation, and the TSI Incorporated visited YEPSTC on the afternoon of July 29th. Zhang Lihua, Standing Member of Tinghu District CPC Committee and Party Work Secretary of YEPSTC received the delegation.

    After a tour at the YEPSTC Planning Exhibition Center and the Center for Environmental Pollution Control and International Cooperation in the City, the delegation had an in-depth discussion on the global development trend of eco-industries and business environment of YEPSTC at the Mass Entrepreneur Center of the City. Both Chinese and foreign guests at present were impressed by the achievements of YEPSTC over the past seven years, describing its progress as “Yancheng Model” plus “Yancheng Pace”. Zhang Lihua, on behalf of the YEPSTC extended warm welcome towards the delegation. He explained the geographic position of YEPSTC and presented the supporting facilities, favorable investment policies and ecological environment of the City with sincere invitations to the leading enterprises to settle in the City. Many senior managers at the discussion expressed their interest in the proposal and wished to seize the valuable opportunity of Yancheng by settling in the city as soon as possible.

    All companies at present are members of The Center for Filtration Research of University of Minnesota(UMN). Led by David Y. H. Pui, Distinguished McKnight University Professor and Member of National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the center consists of many international companies in the field of filtration, air purification equipment and particle counters. Annual sales of the products and the service provided by the center can reach as high as 23 billion USD. The trip was therefore organized on the occasion of the Third UMN-CAS Bilateral Seminar that was held in YEPSTC.
